Pendle Predator - 175km Cycle Challenge

Whether you know the area or not, you are in for a treat in one of the most scenic and low traffic areas in England. You will conquer many challenging climbs and descents that are renowned throughout cycling.
The road routes are signed and marshalled with full support vehicles. Entrants will be given a timing chip so all times can be recorded and published.
Both routes will start and finish at the Rolls Royce Sports Ground, Barnoldswick.

This is a course set to take no prisoners but also home to some of the quietest, low traffic areas in England.

The Challenge

A new year and a new name for this magnificent route. Debate has surrounded the name Pendle Pedal for the last few years with the suggestion that it doesn’t do justice to the physical challenge of the ride. "Pedal" just makes it sounds like a leisurely Sunday afternoon ride, which it most certainly isn’t. Most who have participated in the past will certainly agree that the Bowland countryside is certainly not easy to tame.

The ride starts and finishes at the original route base, Rolls Royce Leisure Club in Barnoldswick, Lancashire.

Plenty of hills and thrills. You’ll get plenty of practice changing gears and sweeping down rolling hills on this large anti-clockwise sweep around the remote north-east Lancashire countryside.
