Pendle Pedal, sponsored by Eric Wright Construction – Sunday 3rd August 2008

Challenging Sportive ride around the beautiful Pendle, Ribble Valley, Lune Valley and Bowland countryside that earned rave reviews last year. It includes many of the climbs tackled by pro riders on the Tour of Britain, Kellogg's Tour and Tour of Lancashire races. You'll have to be fit to tackle the main ride - at 160km with over 3200m of climbing, it's not a gentle pedal!

There is therefore a shorter 100km option so whatever your type of riding and fitness there's something for you.

All routes are fully marshalled and signed, with back-up support services.

Eric Wright, Managing Director of Eric Wright Construction, said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring the Pendle Pedal. As a keen cyclist myself, I am well aware of the enjoyment and benefits of cycling. I would encourage as many people in Pendle and the surrounding areas to have a go in the Pendle Pedal, even raise some money for their favourite charity. I wish the whole Fest every success."
